We take a lot in life for granted. Most of us don’t think about food or shelter. We don’t think twice about going to the store and purchasing what we need and for what we want. But what it you don’t have? Where do you go? Food stamps? The local food bank? Food is covered, but what about the “extras”?
Every year at this time, the “extras” are piled on if you have children. As you see back to school commercials you realize you have school supplies to buy, athletic fees, art fees, ASB cards to pay, money needs to be put on lunch cards. New warm clothes need to be purchased, not just to look good on the first day but because the clothes no longer fit after last year’s growth spurt. The needs add up!
How can you help? Over the last seven years, we have worked to provide school supplies and warm coats and shoes to children in need. We are continuing this ministry again this year and would like to help meet the needs of all the children God sends to us for help. How can you help?
Pray for our Back to School Ministry.
If you know of someone in our area who is in need, let them know about this ministry so they can register for the things they need.
Donate to this ministry so we can provide for more children than we have in the last seven years. You can drop off your donations at Valley Heart or at Rainier City Hall.
We thank you for your assistance in enabling this ministry to support the students of the Rainier community. (Return to Valley Heart main page)
