Men's Ministries

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17
There were two men and each of them had a huge pile of wood to chop, more than either of them could complete in one day.
The men began working early in the morning. One of the men worked non-stop, not even taking a break for lunch. The other man took breaks regularly.
At the end of the day, the man who took breaks regularly had done a great deal more than the man who never took a break.
How could this be?
The man who took breaks sharpened his ax.
With so many activities, responsibilities, and obligations in our lives, we can easily find ourselves crossing church off the "To Do List".
With so many people (boss, co-workers, kids, wife, friends) pulling us in so many different directions, we can easily find ourselves being pulled away from God.
But a wise man realizes that he will accomplish more, and be more successful, by taking time to regularly meet with, and be sharpened by, other Christian men.
At Valley Heart, we have three regular opportunities to get together with our Christian brothers.
First, we meet each Saturday at 7:00 for a men's bible study. Currently, we are studying the book of Isaiah.
On Sunday morning at 9:00 we get together to study the Bible. Currently, we are studying the principles of Discipleship by digging into the Word.
Lastly, we are joining the men of Living Faith Fellowship for a men's retreat on the banks of the Snake River near Pullman, WA. This is an annual event held the weekend of the first full week of June. For details of this activity, see the event description on Sundays.
